Kelsey Barta

Home Town: Hammond, IN
Major: English writing
Grad Year: 2013
Why I decided
to attend MC:

I wanted a smaller campus where I could get more one on one attention. I also wanted to get away from home, but not too far. MC is the perfect distance for me!

My favorite things
about Manchester:

The professors are wonderful. They know you, care about you, and want you to do well. I never feel like just another number in the class

I never expected:

I traveled to Italy!! I never imagined going overseas. Instead of sitting in a classroom and hearing about art, I was able to experience it firsthand.

At Manchester
College, I found:
myself. I have never felt more at home in a strange place. I made the best friends, had my beliefs challenged, made beliefs stronger, and discovered what I wanted to do with the rest of my lfe. Manchester is helping me develop into the person I wish to become.

Why I decided
to attend MC:
It's close to home, but far enough away for me to be on my own. Also, it's a smaller campus. I didn't want to get lost in a sea of people.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
The classes are great! Faculty will do anything they can to help you or answer a question. It's great to have the personal attention. I really feel like I'm getting a real hands on education.
I never expected: Become involved and take special trips to learn and help so many people all over the country.

Name: Chaz Bellman
Home Town: Elkhart, IN
Major: Communications
Grad Year: 2013
Why I decided
to attend MC:
After contemplating between Manchester and Anderson I spent a semester at Anderson before realizing Manchester was a better fit. I was drawn by the high job placement rate, low student to teacher ratio and the fact that every MC grad I knew prior to attending is successful.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
It is great to be able to hold a personal relationship with professors and coaches. Also,as my time here goes on windows for the future continue to open.
I never expected: Working an internship where doors have been opened and I have had the chance to meet, make friends with, and even play chess against alumni. In my free time I have begun to enjoy the theatre productions and watching friends participate and act.
At Manchester
College, I found:
contingency
